Traffic Detection System is a method that is developed by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Directorate of Traffic and used for the control of traffic flow and for all city traffic optimization in order to make city life more modern and appropriate for traffic rules. Moreover, vehicles which disobey traffic rules are determined by this system.
Red light Violation Detection System aims to prevent accidents caused by red light violations, and to increase pedestrian and vehicle security to the highest level. System includes traffic surveillance cameras at intersection points, which detect vehicles that disobey traffic light rules and take their photographs and send these photos to Traffic Control Centre. As a result of this process, legal research about the driver of the vehicle is started. |
Safety Lane Violation Detection System is installed to strategic points of central roads and ways in order to determine and prevent, if there is a safety lane violation (except breakdown situations). Vehicles that unnecessarily occupy safety lane are detected by installed sensors to different points of the road, it works similar to Red Llight Violation Detection System.
Iimages taken from Red Light and Safety Lane Detection System are posted to drivers' addresses with crime receipts. In addition to this, vehicle information are controlled by means of this system. Applying crime processes of the system are under responsibility of Directorate of Security, Directorate of Traffic Operations.
